The International Cool Climate Wine Show (ICCWS) is internationally recognised as Australia’s and the Southern Hemisphere’s foremost show for inspirational cool climate wines. 

Established in 2000, ICCWS celebrates its 25th Show in 2026. The ICCWS attracts entries from the cool climate regions of Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, New South Wales, Tasmania, New Zealand, France, Italy, the USA, Germany, Austria, Argentina, Chile, the UK & others. The International contingency continues to grow year-on-year. 

The Show promotes excellence in Cool Climate Wine & provides winegrowers the opportunity to benchmark their wines against those from other Cool Climate Wine regions throughout Australia, NZ & globally. The event is held in Greater Melbourne, Australia.

Each year the ICCWS attracts more than 400 wines from around the world including sparkling wines, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Prosecco, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Dolcetto, Barolo, Riesling, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo & Riesling. For the 2026 Show, there will be over 30 Competition Classes. Recently, we have introduced the 'Best Organic Wine' Trophy, as we have had keen interest worldwide for this method of production - to be judged in association with the other classes. Many of the wines entered are from smaller vineyards where grapes are handpicked & wines handcrafted by winemakers with a passion for exploring terroir & the true expression of the grape.

For winemakers, this is an opportunity to benchmark in a show where “like is judged against like” by a team of experienced highly credentialed panel of judges, currently working within the industry, from both Australia & overseas.

For wine retailers, restaurateurs, sommeliers, wine writers, wine media, wine students & wine enthusiasts, here is an opportunity to taste an extraordinary breadth & depth of Cool Climate wines. The ICCWS has a Cool Climate Wine Festival, giving great brand exposure along with opportunities for networking, marketing & promotion to the wineries entering.

The ICCWS partners with WineShowPro to facilitate a new simple-to-use online entry system that will capture your information, receive your payment and provide acknowledgement of your entry to the 2026 ICCWS. Please note credit card payments will be processed in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Wine entries open midnight, Monday 1st June 2026.

Closing date for Wine Entries is 11.59pm Friday 31st July 2026.

​​​​​​​​The upcoming Show to be held on 2nd - 4th September will be the 25th International Cool Climate Wine Show. 

The program for 2026 Show is as follows:

• 3 Day Event held on 2nd - 4th September on Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula.
  This includes judging over 3 days by a team of expert & experienced Judges.

• Awards Dinner in Melbourne, held on 18th September at Sofitel Melbourne On Collins.
  More details and bookings will be released closer to the date.​

• RESULTS WILL BE MADE PUBLIC AT THE 2026 AWARDS DINNER AND PUBLISHED ON OUR WEBSITE AND SOCIALS AFTER THAT HAS OCCURRED.  All entrants will receive their results directly, within 48 hours of the show closing.
